After meeting with law enforcement and community leaders, we left inspired by your commitment—and now we want to continue the conversation.

Join us for Deflection & Diversion: A Kansas Roadmap Forward, a virtual session focused on next steps for law enforcement-led deflection, community partnership, and expanding access to recovery.

Speakers Include:

• Linda Davis, Executive Director, Face Addiction Now (FAN)
A former judge and prosecutor, Linda Davis served on the bench for 19 years before retiring in 2019 to lead FAN full time. She helped found the nonprofit after a family member’s struggle with addiction, and now leads FAN’s efforts to fill the gaps in addiction care and justice reform across Michigan and beyond.

• Captain Mario Bastianelli, Sterling Heights Police Department
• Deputy Chief Jeffrey Filzek, Madison Heights Police Department
Both bring years of experience implementing successful diversion programs that reduce incarceration and strengthen police-community collaboration.

This session is open to law enforcement, behavioral health providers, policy leaders, and anyone interested in smarter, more compassionate responses to addiction and behavioral health in Kansas.
