Lori Ziolkowski is an associate professor at Delta College, where she has taught marketing and management for the past 10 years. She holds an M.B.A. in marketing, but is most proud of a different title: M-O-M. She is Amanda’s mom. Together with Kevin, her husband of 28 years, Lori walked alongside their daughter through a four-year battle with addiction. In May 2013, Amanda overdosed on heroin—but thankfully, she survived. Since February 2016, Amanda has been celebrating her recovery. In October 2017, Lori helped form the Great Lakes Bay Region Face Addiction Now chapter with Judge Harry Gill and served as its vice president for a time. The chapter launched the Hope Not Handcuffs program at eight local law enforcement agencies in July 2018. Lori remains committed to supporting others by promoting education, offering encouragement, and helping connect people with the resources they need to find hope and healing.
