Director
Jesse Besonen

Jesse Besonen began her law enforcement career as a police cadet with the Meridian Township Police Department in 2008. During that time, she also completed an internship with the 55th District Court Probation Department. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University in 2009 and was hired as a 911 Dispatcher shortly afterward. In February 2010, Jesse returned to the 55th District Court as a probation officer, a role she continues to hold today.

She currently serves as a general probation officer and also supports court programming related to alcohol and drug-related cases. Early in her work with Ingham County, Jesse became acutely aware of how widespread the opioid crisis was in the community. She began researching ways to help families and individuals affected by substance use. After attending a statewide conference on opioid use in 2011, she discovered the FAN Macomb chapter. When she learned that a new chapter was forming in Okemos, she eagerly joined and has remained closely involved ever since.
