Nicole Matusko graduated cum laude from the Honors College at Grand Valley State University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in political science. While at Grand Valley, she co-founded and served as president of the Grand Valley Law Society and was a Michigan Merit Scholar. She earned her law degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2008, where she was awarded the Arthur May Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.

From early on, Nicole knew her path would lead to public service through prosecution. She joined the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office in 2009 and has since handled a wide range of cases, including child abuse, domestic matters, drug-related offenses, and health care fraud. She currently serves as the office’s liaison to Ingham County’s problem-solving courts and is a member of the Ingham County Treatment Court Foundation and the PAAM Drug Initiative Committee.

Nicole values the role of these specialized courts in supporting accountability and long-term positive outcomes for individuals involved in the justice system. She is proud to serve on the board of Face Addiction Now and looks forward to further supporting collaborative efforts across the county.
