
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University in 1999, majoring in sociology and minoring in public health education. She later completed a Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University in 2018, along with a certificate in addiction studies. Sarah is a certified professional through the Michigan Board for Addiction Professionals and has been with the Ingham County Health Department for 20 years. She currently works in the Health Promotion division.
Through her role, Sarah has helped lead outreach efforts in Ingham County and provides education on drug safety and wellness. She has conducted extensive training on the use of life-saving tools such as naloxone throughout the region. With both personal and professional experience, she understands how deeply substance-related challenges can affect individuals and families. Sarah is committed to helping people find resources, support, and hope. She is proud to serve on the board of Face Addiction Now.
