Judge Schaedler began her career as an assistant prosecutor. As a judge, she was given the opportunity to oversee a specialized court program in Lenawee County, where she gained a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding substance use. Through this work, Judge Schaedler recognized the importance of developing and supporting alternatives to incarceration in order to promote better long-term outcomes for individuals facing substance-related challenges.
