Penny Corbin

Penny holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on management and public relations. She currently works at Shiawassee Health and Wellness, where she supports outreach and communication efforts related to community wellness. Prior to her work in county government, Penny spent several years in state government, focusing on public outreach and food safety.

As a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor, Penny provides training for community members and school staff. She also serves on multiple state and local boards, including the Community Mental Health Association of Michigan’s Public Relations Workgroup and the Michigan Association for Suicide Prevention, where she currently serves as President. Locally, she is on the board of Voices for Children and chairs the Shiawassee Prevention Network, which addresses a range of local challenges such as suicide, substance use, interpersonal violence, and human trafficking.

Penny believes in early intervention and is committed to sharing information that helps individuals and families make informed, healthy choices.
